the name lord
by: Marilyn, AZ

Just found your site & will check out the book/commentary.

In looking down thru comments I saw Terry Haynie's regarding not using the name "lord." Having done a study on this recently, I was pleased the truth was beginning to spread. My word to you is that just as you wish to teach others what you are learning by the Spirit, it's important to be open to learning from other brothers and sisters what they have been shown.

Knowledge is increasing rapidly. (Jer 23:27) (prophets that prophesy lies..prophets of the deceit of their own heart) "which think to cause my people to forget my name (Yahweh) by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal."

Strong's Concord. #H1168 master, husband, owner - lord, man (etc) A "lord" indicates servants. We
are not! Another subtle lie of satan. We are sons & He is Father..all one, of the same growth once born from above in the Spirit. Abba Father, heirs with Christ, far from being owned by a master, such as Baal.

It's vital that we return to the true, lost name of our God..YAHWEH. Thru ignorance we have been calling Him Baal, lord. He is not Adonai, nor Jehovah, but YAHWEH. Mistranslations and errors.
I hope many will look into this, and glorify the one, true, living Creator God.

May the Holy Spirit guide us into all truth! And may we be open to his guidance and revelations.

Reply from Watchman Bob: Marilyn, I am thankful for your submission. I have a few comments and questions in reply.

Are you really more concerned about the spirit (the intention of the heart) or the letter (the exact spelling and pronunciation of names)?

Do you have a problem with me referring to the most high God as Yahuah or Yahweh rather than YAHWEH (all caps)?

Do you know that ancient Israel referred to their God as Adon, which means "my Lord," or Adonai, which literally means "my Lords"? As I explained to Terry Haynie, "Adonai" is used 434 times in the Hebrew Scriptures - by Abraham, Moses, Isaiah, Ezekiel and others - when addressing or referring to their God.

Do you know that His people in Scripture, including Moses (1 Chronicles 6:49), Joshua (Judges 2:8), James (James 1:1) and Paul (Titus 1:1), referred to themselves or were referred to as His servants? In objecting to being called His servant, do I detect an element of pride in your spirit?

Do you think that Yahuah (or Yahweh or YAHWEH) would condemn those who have never been taught the correct spelling, capitalization or pronunciation of His name, but still believe in Him as their Heavenly Father?

Let us be careful that we do not get caught in the trap of the Pharisees - straining out gnats and swallowing camels.
